DIRECTOR'S CIRCLE

The Institute for Research in Art Director’s Circle is a group of supporters who enjoy learning about and connecting with emerging and established artists, curators and other art professionals. These friends of the Institute directly support our ambitious program of exhibitions, artist residencies and community based projects. In recognition of their contribution of $1000 or more, members are invited to attend special events designed specifically for them and receive exclusive access to opening receptions, after parties and other events.

Graphicstudio 50th Anniversary Celebration
at the Tampa Theatre

Celebrate Graphicstudio’s 50th anniversary at the Tampa Theatre! Learn about the history and future of this legendary atelier from past directors Donald Saff, Alan Eaker, Hank Hine and current director Margaret Miller. Director’s Circle members are invited to a special reception before the program.

A Short History of Political Art
Hosted by Allison and Robby Adams
at the Oxford Exchange

Join us for brunch at Oxford Exchange as Christian Viveros-Fauné, renowned critic and USFCAM Curator-at-Large, gives a talk based on his new book Social Forms: A Short History of Political Art. Viveros-Fauné will guide us through the history of how artists have dealt with changing political systems, modern warfare, consumer culture, the prevalence of inequality and racism, and the challenges of technology.

Enjoy cocktails and a dinner buffet while meeting the next generation of exceptional artists graduating from USF’s Master of Fine Arts program. Three graduates will give presentations about their work.
