Theo Wujcik
Theo Wujcik (1936–2014) was born and raised in Detroit and studied at the Creative Graphic Workshop in New York. He was a painter, drawer and a master printmaker. Wujcik was the shop manager for Graphicstudio from 1970–1971 and then transitioned to assistant professor of art at the University of South Florida from 1970–2003. Wujcik has work in numerous public and private collections across the United States.
Ed Ruscha
Ed Ruscha is a stipple etching, in which the image is created not by a continuous line but by thousands of tiny dots or "stipples."
Jasper Johns
In this portrait of Jasper Johns, Wujcik employs his signature chain link fence motif as a metaphor for exclusion, protection, and oppression. It gave him a tool to explore themes and compositions from great art historical figures with a definitive style of his own.
